Q. I am coming from outside London, how long will it take
me to get to the Sale?
A. Using the www.tfl.gov.uk website we estimate the
following times from mainline stations to the sale: Euston 11 mins, Charing
Cross 11 mins, Kings Cross 12 mins, Victoria 12 mins, Waterloo 13 mins,
Marylebone 13 mins, Paddington 14 mins, Farringdon 20 mins.
Q. How much do the tickets cost?
A. The tickets are FREE - Please let us know if you
cannot attend as tickets are limited and we can release your tickets to another
bride.
Q. How can I pay?
A. We accept cash, cheques and major credit cards. If you intend to
pay by cheque, please bear in mind we will need to hold your dress until the
cheque clears. If you want to get the best possible price, please bring cash as
you will typically avoid having to bear the charges levied upon us by credit
card companies.
Q. How
many wedding gowns will be there?
A. A huge
selection of gowns will be available (literally hundred's of predominantly silk
gowns).
Q. Where do the gowns come
from?
A. They are a mixture of window dresses,
fashion show samples, end of line gowns, one-off prototypes and shop
samples.
Q. Why do I have to select a
session?
A. Our sales are very popular due to our
great prices and we expect to be very busy. We have organised several sessions
to try to limit the time you are waiting.
Q.
Will the session start on time?
A. We do our very
best to start the sessions on time however, delays may occur.
Q. I have never looked at a bridal gown before
- is this a good place to start?
A. IF YOU ARE
HOPING TO BROWSE AND LOOK FOR IDEAS, THIS IS NOT REALLY THE SALE FOR YOU. WE
RECOMMEND YOU GO TO DEPARTMENT STORES OR LOCAL BOUTIQUES AND THEN COME TO ONE OF
OUR FUTURE SALES WHEN YOU HAVE A CLEARER IDEA OF WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR.
Q. Can my bridesmaids try on bridesmaids gowns
as well?
A. No, this sale is for bridal gowns
only.
Q. How does the sale
work?
A. Firstly you will be measured and advised of
the appropriate size of gown you should look for. You are then free to browse
and select gowns to try on. You will be helped by a trained bridalwear
consultant who will help you find the right style of gown for
you.
Q. Will you carry a full range in all
sizes?
A. We will have gowns from size 8 to 18,
however the gowns will mirror UK sales trends with the majority being 12 to
16.
Q. I am going to lose weight for my wedding
- can I buy a gown in a size smaller than your recommendation?
A. Yes of course you can - we will recommend the best size of gown
for you on the day.
Q. Can I have the gown
altered?
A. Yes - we will be offering an alterations
service.
Q. If I see a gown I like can I come
back and try it again?
A. No, all our gowns will be
leaving at the end of the sale and not returning. We recommend you bring your
Mum or a friend who can provide you with impartial advice.
Q. Should I bring anything with me?
A.
Please bring a pair of shoes with you of the same heel height that you intend to
wear at your wedding, together with a strapless bra, as these will assist
greatly assist you with the selection of your gown.
Q. I'm going to come, but I'm not expecting to find my dress there
!!??
A. We've heard this thousands of times and now
